HISTORY

 

The earliest docuements relating to Hinxhill is circa 864. The hamlet has a variety of charming listed buildings and cottages, in which some have been tastifully converted to commercial use.

 

The Estate consists of some 2,000 acres which is currently farmed in hand.

 

There was a Saxon church at Hinxhill recorded in Domesday Monachorum (1070) whith the main structure of the church was all in place before the Reformation. It is known as the Snowdrop Church . In early Spring the snowdrops cover much of the church yard.
